DAVAO CITY – The opening weekend of Davao Pop Culture Mania 2025 at La Herencia Davao last August 8–10 drew a wave of fans eager to celebrate comics, collectibles, cosplay, music, and more.

Week 1 featured Toys, Hobbies, and Collectibles, with guests enjoying a full lineup of activities including a K-pop contest, singing competition, a Taylor Swift-inspired concert, and exhibits from toy manufacturers, local artists, and pop culture vendors.

Week 2, happening this August 15–17, will spotlight Anime, Manga, and Cosplay, giving fans another chance to immerse themselves in themed contests, exhibits, and creative showcases.

The event, which kicked off after a media forum last August 5, continues to serve as a hub for fan communities and creators to connect, share passions, and showcase their work.

Organizer Wilfred Dexter Tañedo of La Herencia Davao highlighted the strong support of the Davao City Government and the City Tourism Operations Office in promoting the event, facilitating permits, and providing media exposure. This collaboration reflects the city’s commitment to growing the creative industry and positioning Davao as a hub for cultural and pop culture events.
